**Technical Program Manager (Automotive)**

**Description**

ION Mobility is looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for technology and delivering great products to join our expanding team. This is a cross-functional role that requires coordination between many different groups within and outside of ION. This person will interface with design engineering, supply chain and operations, compliance, and testing to drive the development of new product programs. You will be deeply involved in the engineering process from concept to prototyping to production. You will be responsible for translating the product requirements to plan out project timelines, technical risks, and have contingency plans for an array of various scenarios. This person can operate with a high degree of autonomy while implementing best practices and processes in the organisation.

**Responsibilities**
- Drive project from concept through handover to production, acting as single point of contact.
- Define program plans, outlining strategy, scope, schedule, resource requirements, and cost targets. Work with engineering and cross-functional teams to drive the program towards the plan.
- Create, maintain, communicate, and present schedules for engineering projects to the engineering leadership team.
- Define and drive tasks to be performed by the cross-functional team. Prioritize team project work based on schedule, risk, resources, and payoff. Track status of projects and action items against the schedule.
- Identify creative ways to overcome obstacles and meet the schedule in spite of constraints and setbacks.

**Key Qualifications**
- Minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, automotive engineering or related field
- Demonstrated experience in the management of engineering projects for mass-produced products.
- Demonstrated experience creating, maintaining and communicating schedules
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage large teams.
- Proven ability to operate under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence, Wrike, and other project management tools.
- Extra credit for six sigma and IATF16949 trained
