**Job Description of Social Worker (Full-time)**
**About The Hut
At The Hut, it is a community for children and youth (5 to 17 years) to pursue their dreams with a heart to serve. We exist to _H _onour dreams, _U _nleash potential and _T _ransform lives.
We believe that all children and youth can flourish when they are supported and deeply cared for. The Hut is a drop-in centre where children and youth can be meaningfully engaged within a safe space. There are educational as well as whole-child programmes for the children and youth. We also provide access to opportunities and resources for children from lower-resourced backgrounds so that they can be socially mobile and thrive in today’s world.
We are looking for a genuine and competent Social Worker to join our dedicated team at The Hut.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct Casework and Counselling for children and youth to address presenting issues
- Be child-centric yet family-focused by engaging caregivers and facilitating positive parent-child communication and relationships
- Engage key stakeholders effectively to maximise support for children and youth
- Conduct Group Work for children and youth
- Conceptualise, plan, implement and evaluate relevant programmes for children and youth
- Maintain proper documentation for all cases and programmes
- Be a positive role model for children and youth
- Undertake any other responsibilities and duties as assigned by Supervisor/Director
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you would need:
- Degree in Social Work
- Experience in working with children, youth and families
- Counselling skills and knowledge of Social Service landscape
- Responsible, reflective and strives for excellence
- Adaptable and takes initiative
- Open to travelling to Marine Parade
