JOB TITLE Asst Director/Director - Embedded Change Lead - Finance
LOCATION Singapore
REPORTING TO Country COO & Head of Transformation
ROLE The Embedded Change Lead - Finance will lead, and champion all end to end Change initiatives for the Finance business function across all their respective countries. The Embedded Change Lead - Finance must be capable of working within all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation through to closure, and within initiatives that deliver change to one group as well as changes that deliver across the entire organisation. The individual must have excellent interpersonal skills to motivate and lead a project team, without direct authority, relying on their ability to influence others to drive results. Following the client's Investments Project Lifecycle, the individual is primarily responsible for delivering business outcomes on time and to budget.
The Embedded Change Lead - Finance will typically work on multiple initiatives or workstreams, across the end to end business functions of the organisation and must be capable of leading both complex business and technology initiatives. The individual may be supported by Business Analysts within individual initiatives / workstreams and is supported by the Head of Transformation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Change Management:
Lead change management activities and monitor change progress Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan
Evaluate the impact of planned organisational change. Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders.
Perform change management assessments and GAP analysis. Identify and manage anticipated resistance Support and engage senior leaders
Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities Coordinate efforts with other Change Leads for organizational wide initiative
Manage the change initiative on the BAU Book of Work Providing reporting and other updates to management and project teams.
Takes full responsibility for the completion of the initial definition of the project, including defining scope, expected timelines and identification of project sponsor.
Project Execution:
Develop Business case and Feasibility study to determine benefits & ROI and to mitigate any negative impacts to both internal staff and external customers.
Develop change management plans for projects and/or change initiatives.
Integrate change management activities into project plan Establish change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
Timely escalation, mitigation and closure of all risks and issues Active identification and management of change resistance.
Project Control & Reporting:
Effective tracking of detailed tasks in the plan via established task reporting processes and input from task owners.
Effective issue and risk management Management of dependencies / constraints with other releases / initiatives Regular Project Status Reports to key stakeholders.
Governance adherence highlighting issues, risks and status against key milestones. Steering Committee meetings with key stakeholders.
Provide regular written status updates to all stakeholders.
Ensure all project documentation are signed-off by the business and respective stakeholders as well as institutionalized and are of auditable standards.
CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES
Dynamic individual who can navigate the organisation successfully with excellent influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
Possess experience in implementing Oracle Peoplesoft System across General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Fixed Asset Modules, including Chart of Account Transformation, Head office and Management Reporting.
Experience is implementing regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions, management reporting, and knowledge of IFRS & GAAP requirements.
Able to resolve issues in a manner that build trusts, delivers successful project outcomes and drives the organisation’s strategic agenda.
High energy, drive with strong change management experience.
Has over 10 years of experience working as a Change / Transformation Manager within either fund management or capital markets.
This experience could have been gained as an employee of the financial institution or as a consultant working on assignment.
Attention to detail, persistence to complete tasks and resolve issues & risks. Pro-active / takes initiative. Has experience of working across / covering multiple jurisdictions
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within cost against a recognized project management methodology.
