Job Profile Summary

Within the Wholesale Bank, client coverage is spread across 3 industrial sectors which includes Commodities, Food & Agri (CF&A) sector coverage which in turn comprises 3 sub-sectors: Trade & Commodity Finance, Metals, Mining & Fertilisers, and Food, Beverage and Agriculture (FB&A).

ING’s FB&A business has a strong global presence, with teams serving clients from 6 dedicated locations globally. The team you will be working in is responsible for developing the FB&A client portfolio in the APAC region following the global strategy for the FB&A sub-sector as a part of ING Wholesale Banking and CF&A sector. The team is accountable for the revenues, risk/ return and cross-buy of the FB&A clients in the APAC region. The FB&A team remains in growth mode and is looking to expand its APAC presence.

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain relationships with a portfolio of clients in the FB&A sector active in the APAC region.
- Responsible for origination and structuring and overseeing the execution of new FB&A transactions across the full spectrum of the food chain.
- Assist in the hand-off of transactions to the Portfolio Management team and coordinate with them on material amendments, waivers and consents on transactions and provide input and support where and as needed.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and economic factors affecting the FB&A sector and manage credit risk.
- Assist with deep dives into a client’s strategy and financial position and translate these into pitch presentations.
- Build a relationship with the global network to identify actionable opportunities for clients.
- Collaborate with other internal departments including Lending, Structured Export Finance (SEF), Debt Capital Advisory, M&A, Syndications, DCM, Financial Markets, and Environmental and Social Responsibilities (ESR), as needed.
- Ensure there is follow up of ideas developed/presented.

What we're looking for:

- _ Education:_ Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or agri business industry related field.
- _ Experience:_ minimum of 7 years of relevant project/corporate finance experience, ideally in the FB&A industry.
- Strong academic record with Undergraduate or Masters.
- In-depth knowledge of the FB&A industry, preferably with established contacts and strong deal track record.
- Strong (financial) analysis capability, with a keen interest in the sector and commercial acumen.
- Strong modelling and analytical skills and are familiar with accounting methods and cash flow statements.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to deliver with efficiency and effectiveness with mínimal day-to-day oversight.
- Team Player, self-motivated and proactive.
