About the Team

**About the role**:
As an individual contributor for the Backend Tech Lead role, you will take a pivotal role in designing, developing, and enhancing our observability platform's backend systems. You will lead the technical direction of the team, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance data pipelines. Your deep expertise in Golang, backend engineering, and data pipelines will be instrumental in driving the success of our observability platform.

**What you will be doing**:

- Lead the design, architecture, and development of backend systems for our observability platform;
- Design data models and extract the information and signals from observability data for internal observability functionalities (e.g. smart alarm, root cause analysis, event center);
- Collaborate with other technical teams, research, and operation teams to translate requirements into technical specifications;
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering their growth and skill development;
- Build and optimise data pipelines to ensure efficient data collection, storage, and processing;
- Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability;
- Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and software engineering processes;

**Qualifications**:
**What you should have**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
- At least 6 years of professional experience in Golang and backend engineering;
- Strong expertise in designing and developing data pipelines. Familiar with at least one aspect of machine learning, data mining, data analysis, or distributed computing, with deep theoretical research and practical experience;
- Proficiency in system architecture and design principles for scalable and reliable systems;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues;
- Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, show enthusiasm for tackling challenging problems, exhibit strong initiative and strive to pick up new knowledge, and possess good communication, collaboration, and stress management abilities.
