**JOB CLASSIFICATION : RETAIL ASSISTANT**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- The Retail Assistant is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Minimart standards and procedures. This Role is responsible for ensuring that financial objectives are met and that all aspects of the store are running smoothly at all times.
- This Role needs to oversee the implementation of workflow improvements that may enhance customer satisfaction and optimize the organization's resources.
- The Retail Assistant is a good communicator and has good negotiation skills, strong problem-solving, and analytical skills and may be required to work extended hours when needed (can avail day off when needed).

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for the overall operations and business results of the Mini-Mart.
- Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with the company's plans and vision and communicate them to employees working in mínimart under supervision for this Role.
- Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Keep records of Business Procurement and Sales, costs, employee time, and work activities.
- Maintain timekeeping and Assign employees to shifts, tasks, and departments.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Plan and order stocks accurately and timely to ensure continuous stock availability and control inventory levels. Walk-through the department to ensure team members are performing their stock replenishment, stock rotation, facing out duties, routine quality and expiry checks to provide freshest possible quality products for customers. Monitor products expiry dates and shelf lives of goods.
- Ensure work areas and spaces are organized and safe for employees and customers. Educate staff on and enforce safety rules and standards.
- Report workplace incidents, such as injuries, equipment malfunctions, and thefts to Management.
- Managing and Resolving Customer Complaints, Resolve disputes between or among employees.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Must have Proven work experience as a Retail Assistant or relevant Role in managing Indian Minimart or Supermarkets.
- Knowledge of handling Retail Sales and Purchases of goods for the store.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsible for the overall operations and business results of the Mini-Mart.
- Experience in building relationship with customers/suppliers
- Knowledge of Groceries and Spices, including network of suppliers
- Experience cash handling like POS cash counter.
