**Job Purpose / Role**:
We are looking for a Regional Senior Financial Analyst to strengthen our Global Performance Steering - Cost Controlling team within the CFO - Global Performance Steering (GPS) area. The Cost Controlling team is a key contributor to foster bold and proactive steering of AGCS’ expenses. The team has a clear mandate to not only support, but also to challenge the business leaders and be a constructive finance business partner on all expense related topics for the senior leadership team.

Based in Singapore, you will act as a business partner on all expense related topics of the APAC region. You will perform standard planning and reporting tasks as well as other value-adding analysis to provide transparency on drivers behind current and future expense development to ensure effective results steering and decision making.

You will play a key role in building bridges between our Finance and other business departments as well as sharing best practice within Global Performance Steering (GPS) and the wider finance community. You should actively demonstrate drive for process improvement and teamwork.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide financial analysis and assessments on the financial performance of the designated business areas, identify key drivers, risks and opportunities and provide recommendations.
- Present conclusions in a transparent way with robust financial commentary to enable decision-making.
- Perform regular financial reporting, forecasting and planning processes.
- Support the regional business leads as well as the regional management in providing a comprehensive view on expense performance in line with both global as well as regional customer requirements.
- Address customer requests and perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
- Support best-practice sharing and increase efficiencies, setting and harmonizing global standards.
- Participate in projects and implement initiatives as required.

**Key Experience / Requirements / Skills**:

- Excellent tertiary qualification (ideally Master), preferably in Business Administration, Economics,

Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or qualified by experience in related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in preferably reinsurance, P&C insurance and / or asset management.
- Proven experience in financial planning, reporting & analysis function.
- Understanding of insurance; sector-specific financial statements and performance measurement.
- Strong analytical thinking and numeracy: ability to handle and analyze large amounts of data, identify patterns and root causes in complex (e.g., ambiguous, from various sources) data and processes to rapidly distill key issues and to provide value-adding insights.
- Strong communication & presentation skills: Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders including senior management (both verbally and in writing).
- Expert Excel and PowerPoint skills to analyze data effectively and convey compelling and engaging messages.
- Knowledge of financial planning & reporting tools (e.g., SAP BW and SAP Analytics Cloud, SAS APP).
- Comfortable working in a global team setup and maintaining effective remote relationships in a matrix environment.
- Excellent command of English (verbal and written), any other languages advantageous.
