Commercial Finance Analyst, Asia

We are seeking a data-driven experienced Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team. The individual will play a pivotal role in driving business performance through strategic financial analysis, planning and decision support. The role involves working proactively with internal business partners to provide insights and recommendations that contribute to the company’s growth and profitability.

(A) Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Performance Management
- Monitor and analyse key performance data and levers to assess the effectiveness of commercial strategies and initiatives
- Develop and implement performance dashboards and track progress and facilitate decision-making and prepare regular updates
- Analysis and reporting of Customer / product profitability, margin growth and business expansion
- Develop actionable insights and recommendations to optimize revenue and profitability
- Provide accurate financial insights and data to commercial teams for strategic projects and key customers negotiations to drive business results
- Collaborate with sales, R&D and marketing teams to optimize pricing and product mix to drive profitable revenue growth
- Present complex financial data and strategic recommendations in a clear and simple manner to non-financial stakeholders

2. Financial Modelling and Forecasting
- Build and maintain data-driven financial models to support scenario analysis, long-range planning, and decision-making
- Develop accurate forecasts and projections based on historical data, market trends, and business drivers
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and stress testing to assess the potential impact of various scenarios on financial performance.
- Gather and analyse financial data from various sources to ensure comprehensive and accurate financial analysis

3. Strategic Planning and Decision Support
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with the company’s goals and objectives
- Provide financial expertise and support for business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Evaluate investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and new business initiatives to drive growth and maximize returns
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain, to align financial objectives with business strategies
- Analyse market and competitor data to support strategic updates and decisions

4. Process and Data Improvement
- Enhance financial reporting and analysis processes through automation and system improvements
- Drive process improvements and efficiency gains through collaboration and knowledge sharing across departments
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across financial reports and models
- Working with IT/project stakeholders to continuously improve on financial software and analytical tools to enhance reporting capabilities

(B) Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, commercial finance, or a related field preferably in the manufacturing or food flavours sector
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting
- Expertise with ERP / financial software and data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, OneStream, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, CRM)
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collect, organize and interpret data to identify trends and provide insights
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the wider picture and align technology solutions with business objectives
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, with experience reporting to senior management
- Occassional travelling will be required for the role
