Based in our Singapore office, this position is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the release of content by a major motion picture studio and enhance the distribution practices of the regional and international team.
As Manager of Business Support & Operations, you will provide managerial support to the EVP, Distribution & Networks, SPE - Asia Pacific and the SVP, Distribution, SPE - Asia and more importantly, support the overall distribution function with analysis, reporting and creation of business presentations. Responsibilities include assistance to formulate and track implementation of regional release strategies and provide analysis of all impacting variables that can enhance or detract on the overall performance of our content across various distribution platforms.
**Key Responsibilities Include**:
- Provide comprehensive business and operations support to the EVP, Distribution & Networks, SPE - Asia Pacific and the SVP, Distribution, SPE - Asia.
- Liaise with territories across the APAC region, supporting the EVP, Distribution & Networks, SPE - Asia Pacific with communication, coordination and feedback.
- Track release dates for all SPE motion pictures by working closely with territory Managing Directors and Distribution teams.
- Support the development of release strategies for theatrical titles; identify potential alternatives by conducting an in-depth review of release windows, competitive product and holiday periods that could impact content performance and success.
- Liaise with Transactional Distribution team to coordinate, review and clear Home Entertainment release dates and associated Theatrical window impact.
- Review release strategies and advise distribution plans for select licensee territories.
- Prepare box office release reports and provide narrative with market insights for regional reporting updates.
- Monitor and track performance of theatrical releases by sourcing box office data in liaison with local territories.
- Compile and manage regular and special reports, analyses, summaries and business insights.
- Prepare and distribute various key management reports.
- Liaise with vendors and customers, as needed, and support internal tracking of documents across markets.
- Collaborate with home office marketing departments to synthesize and enhance distribution strategies.
- Develop and build presentation slide decks for industry and home office presentations, as needed.
- Organize market analysis, statistics and trends for presentations to executive senior management.
- Perform any relevant duties in respect of the department daily business operations.
- Manage executive calendar - organize and schedule appointments.
- Maintain contact and distribution lists.
- Liaise with executives and senior administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from senior executives.
- Plan, organize and book travel, transport and hotel arrangements.
- Organize internal and regional meetings, along with special events, as needed.
- Prepare, reconcile and submit Travel & Entertainment (T&E) reports.
- Assist assigned senior executives with ad-hoc projects, as may be required from time to time.
- Typically 5 years’ experience, preferably with at least 3 years in a major motion picture studio environment.
- Experience in providing business, operations and administrative support to senior level executives.
- A tertiary education with a bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Timeliness, responsiveness and the ability to meet demanding deadlines.
- Pro-active in keeping supervisor informed of work status.
- Mature, independent, sensible and tactful with a positive and helpful working attitude.
- Proficient in MS Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, in particular).
- Ease in learning and adapting to a range of internal propriety database and systems.
