**Purpose of the Job**
As the Head of Strategic Planning and Governance, responsible for strategic directions and governance of the organization (regional HR), while developing the departmental strategy as well as monitoring initiatives which align to MUFG strategy. - Responsible for establishment of HR risk & governance structure in relation to rules, procedures and practices that enable branches and/or entities within MUFG to govern MUFG platform, including inventory of transformation projects.
**Strategic**
- Develop and lead organizational and departmental strategy to align to MUFG direction / vision.
**Financial**
- Responsible for organization's overall expense management.
**Customer**
- Develop and maintain exceptional stakeholder management with key stakeholders both within MUFG and externally.
- Lead and work in partnership with colleagues across the region to support the implementation of global/regional projects at businesses and branches.
- Work in partnership with colleagues in Head Office, wider HR teams and Branches; to lead global/regional/departmental projects, policies, systems, guidelines and frameworks as well as seek approval for regional initiatives.
- Influence senior management to support and approve the implementation of departmental initiatives.
**People**
- Manage and motivate subordinates; review and assess performance, support in their professional development and enable employees to optimize their contribution to the department/organization.
- Support, coach and guide team on complex issues.
**Other/ Control**
- Design, develop and lead the implementation of global/regional initiatives, policies and business plans in compliance with the regulations. Present performance progress and budget reports to CHRO and Senior Management.
- Oversee the headcount control for the organization and monitor resource allocation within the organization and provide recommendations on structures and resourcing requirements.
- Responsible for the overall control of the organization’s expense budget and ensure that the organization does not exceed the budget.
- Monitor all regional departmental projects to ensure they are implemented on-time and within budget.
- Facilitate the necessary approvals including but not limited to organizational initiatives, budget, global/regional or Branch policies and exceptions.
- Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations.
- Participate in relevant committees in the Branch or region.
- Oversee the HR risk &governance and provide support for audit/inspection matters
**Job Requirements**:
- Minimum 10 years of HR planning experience in banking/financial institutions industry
- Minimum 3 years of project management skills, to monitor and manage multiple large regional projects on time and within budget.
- Global / Regional project management experience across APAC
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence others and sell solutions.
- Degree qualified
