Intern - Scientist in Genomics and Molecular Biology

What you will do

You will work with a team of scientists in the Molecular Biomarkers team in the Research Labs (MRL) to develop genomics assays and analyse genomics data.
- Develop robust RNA/DNA extraction methods across a broad range of tissues for downstream assays
- Evaluate vendors for quality of RNA extraction and RNA-sequencing from broad range of tissues
- Contribute to the development of novel single-cell RNA-sequencing technologies
- Optional: analysis of next-generation sequencing data using R

What you should look like
- Experience with basic molecular biology techniques and best practices in the laboratory
- Motivated to learn and ask questions
- Ability to work well in a team
- Familiarity with the coding language R is highly recommended if you are interested to explore next-generation sequencing data analysis (optional responsibility)
