**Job Purpose**:
The purpose of this role is to ensure that adequate resources and capability (people and processes) reside within the business equipped to develop and deliver the related sales (current customers and new prospects) across the allocated region/sub-region/segment and team in line with business strategy and the overall profitability related targets

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand the customer base.
- Manage and grow relationships with key clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive lead generation activities.
- Oversee the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and customer support to ensure customer needs are met.
- Lead, train, and mentor the sales team to maximize performance and motivation.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis for senior management.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients within established guidelines.
- Ensure compliance to all AkzoNobel guidelines and values
- Be familiar with all the applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct and HSE standards and acting in compliance with all applicable regulations

**Experience**:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree, management degree will be preferable
- Minimum 10 years of Sales experience. Any experience with protective coatings will be an added advantage
- Proven track record of success in senior sales management roles within the paint/coatings industry
- Experience in managing sales teams and driving business growths across multiple regions
