**[What the role is]**
You will be part of a team responsible in managing various types of high quality 2D and 3D mapping data (e.g. aerial imagery, point clouds, 3D digital city models, etc.) from the National 3D Mapping Programme. You will be responsible for the delivery of GEOAI solutions to improve (automate/semi-automate) the workflow for new data layer creation using large scale mapping datasets. Your role will also contribute towards the High Resolution Map update based on the various mapping datasets.
**[What you will be working on]**
- Conduct research on AI/ML domain to deliver the suitable GEOAI solutions for road markings detection and extraction from street-level mobile mapping data (LiDAR and Imagery), and building change detection based on the aerial mapping data (true orthophoto, DSM etc);
- Digitize the changed roads, building outlines in ArcGIS Pro, to update the High Resolution Map based on the nation-wide mapping datasets and/or the newly created thematic data layers by the GEOAI solutions.
**[What we are looking for]**
- Background in Surveying, Mapping, GIS, Geomatics Engineering, Remote Sensing or Computer Science.
- Strong passion and knowledge in the latest developments in AI technologies, methodologies.
- Experience working in Python, Computer Vision, GEOAI will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in either ArcGIS Desktop or QGIS.
- Good analytical, interpersonal, communications and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
