**JOB PURPOSE**:
The role exists in order to manage the **day-to-day transport activities (Air-Freight)** of Future Asia. This involves ensuring products from suppliers are delivered to the Asia Distribution Center in a timely manner and shipped effectively to meet customer needs. The service providers are managed effectively to achieve competitive cost, service quality and flexibility. The job holder has to interface with staff at all levels within the company and with external suppliers/service providers. Communication, customer service and negotiation skills are the key parameters of the role. Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external organizations.

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Responsible for identifying business requirements on transportation/delivery and executing them effectively by implementing a “best strategy” with service providers. Maintains a highly motivated “can do” team attitude
- Responsible for identifying cost-saving opportunities and pursuing them aggressively
- Responsible for the Free Freight policy of the Company in line with the SOP
- Additional projects or duties as the management may at times require

**DESCRIPTION**
- Ensures all queries are promptly dealt with. Manages service quality by taking prompt action on the daily reports provided by the service providers
- Responsible for validating service provider invoices and ensuring erroneous invoices are queried and resolved
- Conducts regular pricing reviews with service providers. Conducts benchmarking on pricing to ensure that we achieve the best rates/service levels
- Conducts quality reviews with the service providers based on the Service Level Agreement. Ensures that the company is compensated by the providers for any damages caused by failures in service delivery

**REQUIREMENTS**
- University degree or at least a diploma, preferably in transportation and logistics
- Min. 5 years experience in international shipping and transportation in Asia - mainly air freight
- Working in a either logistics, manufacturing or distribution (with the main focus on transportation activities) environment
- Knowledge of export-import procedures, regional customs clearance, and Incoterms 2000
- Experience in managing service performance levels, and reviewing/negotiating freight pricing with service providers.
- Supervisory and managerial experience
- Good communication and negotiation skills: written and spoken

Pay: $5,000.00 - $7,000.00 per month
