On any given day, the work of the portfolio function could include building and engaging a strong network of investors and relevant stakeholders; advising a portfolio company on a cross-border partnership, providing guidance for a PR campaign; or helping them refine their fundraising data room, etc.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Effectively use metrics data visualization to report portfolio progress and support data driven decision at the team or organization level
- Provide research and guidance for investment opportunities into Brinc portfolio companies
- Develop and implement project management methodologies and best practices to build on your teams skill and capabilities
- Contribute to the establishment of set of practices, tools and templates for portfolio, accelerator program, and project level management and ensure standards are being followed
- Deliver sound investment research and strategies based on sector expertise
- Ability to discuss and present portfolio investment performance, economic and market trends
- Ability to establish client investment objectives including risk tolerance, asset allocation, and potential structures to invest
- Seek to establish a level of trust and confidence with the investors so that any portfolio company issue can be addressed and solutions offered
- Develop and enhance the management of relationships with Brinc investee companies to ensure effective deployment of capital to achieve intended development and impact goals

Leadership and Strategic Direction. (15%)
- Develop and implement the core portfolio management strategy to achieve follow on funding for Brinc portfolio companies
- Provide technical and organizational leadership on the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all portfolio management activities.

Portfolio Management (40%)
- Collates and analyses investee and program performance data and prepares scheduled portfolio, sectoral and thematic reports (monthly reports, quarterly outcomes report and annual impact reports) to relevant stakeholders;
- Monitors and identifies characteristics of portfolio companies with highest projected returns and recommend recovery plans for those performing below standard;
- Develop and implement portfolio risk framework, in line with the overall Enterprise Risk and Compliance Management Framework;
- Generates significant insights from the portfolio data for use in improving portfolio management effectiveness.
- Provides technical expertise to assure alignment of the Brinc’s Core portfolio with evolving sector development policies, government development objectives, other programs, and foreign policy priorities;
Relationship Management & Business Development (15%)
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with Sector Team Leads, Program Managers, Program Directors and other client facing staff to ensure the best possible execution of Brinc’s Core Portfolio Management strategy;
- Establish and maintain productive working relationships and linkages with development partner organizations, government departments, private sector partners etc.
- Establish close links to sector leaders, international organizations, associations or businesses;
- Participate in the development and dissemination of Brinc’s periodic progress and impact reports;
- Leverage expertise and networks to support fundraising and business development efforts of Brinc. This includes contributing to proposal development and pitches.
