Production Assistant

As a Production Assistant, you’ll serve as an important team member supporting the Brewer. You must be able to work safely and independantly in a fast-paced, loud, and hot production environment.
We are a small team of 5 people, working closely together, blasting music while working and creating a fun and relaxed environment.
Job scope is as follows:
- Assist when needed with brewhouse operations (i.e. first ferment, second ferment, transferring etc.) - this you will be taught by our Brewer.
- Tea/fruit bags and brewing pots cleaning/washing;
- Receiving and storing deliveries properly;
- Kegging;
- Keg washing;
- Daily cleaning and mopping of production area
- 2x per month cleaning of fermentation tank area;
- Generally assist with maintaining cleanliness of brewery premises.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
Physically Fit: Lifting, coordination, and endurance. You’ll need to carry 20 kilos, assist with moving heavy items, stay on your feet for up to 8-hours, and perform countless other physical tasks.
Flexibility: Every day can be different, depending on the jobs to be done.
Attention to Detail: you need to make sure all items used in production are clean and well maintained. Hygiene is a priority when making consumer products, consistent with manufacturing standards.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, you will be exposed to a variety of conditions at the job site including loud noise, high temperatures and small working areas. Physical demands:
Ability to continuously stand or walk.
Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently.
Ability to lift up-to 20 kilos occasionally.
