Responsible for all aspects of software development and existing AS400 deep analysis, to functional design, development to production implementation and which can help to migrate existing AS400 process to new tech., using established methods and technologies with off-the-shelf or custom solutions, and managing teams with a combination of internal staff, contractors, and vendors.
- Provision custom CL or RPG program for system monitoring and automation of system job
- Ability to understand complex AS400 programs and reverse engineer the programming logic.
- Ability to understand AS400 work job schedules (WRKJOBSCDE) to translate into non AS400 readable format.
- Ability to administer and troubleshoot the complex AS400 systems.
- Update all project stakeholders on the project status and progress.
- Manage business stake-holders expectation and establish best or alternative solutions that are feasible within the technology and timeline constraints.
- Anticipate and resolve any development issues or risks either independently or together with the relevant stakeholders and propose alternative solutions, as necessary.
- Resolve issues ensuring escalation and communication to stakeholders, as necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science / Engineering
- Good understanding and experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is necessary.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills - demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- A strong and assertive communicator in speaking and writing.
- Proven ability to operate under pressure and meet challenging deadlines with minimum supervision.
- Willingness and demonstrate capability to lead, assimilate, and act upon large amounts of information rapidly.
- Highly organized with strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to interact professionally and appropriately at all levels of the organization.
- Must be confident, passionate to explain and share technology, ability to articulate complex technical concept or requirement.
- Positive attitude towards continuous learning.
- Possess good technical knowledge in high availability design, implementation, migration, upgrade of the abovementioned system.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, with 5 years in large scale of IBM i installation.
