Since October 2011, **Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities (**THK**MC)** was incorporated as a charity with an IPC status to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large.

**THK**MC provides assistance to the various groups in our community through more than 60 programmes and services for the **elderly and the sick**, **families**, **persons with disabilities**, and **children. **We help anyone in need with full respect to their race, colour, creed, language, culture and religion. We have more than 90 programmes and services, reaching out to more than 55,000 people in the community.

DESIGNATION : Workshop Instructor / Trainer (Sheltered Workshop - Bread Making)

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Workshop Instructor plays a crucial role in a multidisciplinary vocational rehabilitation team to empower people with disabilities to participate in work activities to gain a sense of identity, improve self-esteem, and a way to give back to society. You will work closely with the occupational therapist, physiotherapist, social worker, caregivers and community partners as part of the multidisciplinary team. Your challenge is to implement innovative strategies to help people with disabilities to integrate in the workforce, do well at their jobs and progress in their careers.

**Programme and Client Management - Baking**
- Assist in the research, development and production of training materials
- Initiate programme improvement plans
- Prepare and conduct skill training programmes for bread making
- Prepare and conduct prevocational lessons for bakery related skills, mainly bread making
- Work with clients and caregivers to achieve suitable employment outcomes in related industry
- Document clients' progress and work with multidisciplinary team for intervention and review
- Contribute to case reviews

**Administration & Operation**
- Routine admin duties such as preparation for audits and inventory management, etc
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Pleasant personality, possess initiative and is a team player
- Supervisory and coaching skills required
- Passionate about making a difference to improve the lives of others in the community
- **Experience in bread making as a baker or pastry chef**

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Higher NITEC
- Any related Certificate in Baking, Pastry or Culinary
