Optics Engineer

**Objective / Purpose of the Job**

To design and develop optical instrument.

**Key Activities / Accountabilities**
- Design optical systems with specific characteristics to fit within specified physical limits of precision optical instruments, such as still-and motion-picture cameras, lens systems and viewing and display devices.
- Determine specifications for operations and makes adjustments to calibrate and obtain specified operational performance.
- Determine proper operation of optical system and makes adjustments to perfect system.
- Understanding nonlinear fiber optics and mode locked lasers. Proficient in short pulse characterization
- Understanding of laser engineering and fiber laser, and evaluate laser performance at the component and system levels
- The ability to design mount will be a plus (more on mechanical site)
- Design inspection instruments to test optical systems for defects, such as aberrations and deviations.
- Familiar with the optical instruments, such as microscope, collimator to test optical systems for defects, such as aberrations and deviations.
- May work with electrical and mechanical engineering staff to develop overall design of optical system.
- Build up prototypes to test the optical system. Generating a set of acceptance test requirements, together with the quality engineers, which determine that all of the requirements have been met.
- Any other tasks as delegated by the Management team.

**Preferred Qualifications, Experience and Skills**

Qualification:
Degree/Professional qualification in Science and Engineering

**Experience**:

- Minimum 1 year of working experience
- Fresh graduates with related optics projects are welcome

Technical Skills:

- Design & Develop
- Microsoft Office
- ZEMAX simulation is preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $3,000.00 - $3,500.00 per month

- Monday to Friday

- Bachelor's or equivalent (preferred)
**Experience**:

- Electrical engineering: 1 year (preferred)
- electronics: 1 year (preferred)
