As an Adaptive consultant, you will be fully supported by the Simmons & Simmons team with a sponsoring Partner and a client team with whom we would encourage you to engage on a regular basis. You will have access to the firm's resources and Know-how and have the opportunity to be involved in training and development at the Firm.

**Main purpose of the role**:
Simmons Adaptive are currently seeking an experienced risk and compliance professional to join our client, a multinational bank with a strong presence in Asia. This is a ~ 7 month assignment starting in November.
- To assist in the administration and management of the Bank's Speaking Up programme.
- Contribute and drive continual improvements in the SIS investigation process by identifying policy and standard revisions.
- Engage and manage stakeholders to ensure that appropriate senior management are kept informed of relevant risks.
- Manage the Risk Management Framework for SIS, including performing regular Control Sample Tests and reporting of results.
- Proactively review controls and governance of the SIS Process Universe, keeping up to date with changes in the Group's risk appetite and risk management procedures.
- Review SIS Control environment to ensure that the controls in place mitigate any possible operational, cyber or regulatory risks.
- Assist/lead with the management of Data Management risks including designing relevant controls.
- Support ad hoc projects / activities where required.

**Person specification**:

- You have minimum of 8 years' Risk and Compliance experience.
- You sound understanding of the Whistleblowing Rules introduced by FCA and PRA would be beneficial, as would a sound understanding of Operational Risk and Compliance Frameworks.
- You are able to work independently to produce high quality work.
- You are able to operate within a diverse and inclusive culture.
- You must possess the ability to assess risk.
- You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate complex analysis in a clear and concise manner.
- You have excellent time management skills.
- You are a self-motivated team player, with a desire to develop strong relationships.
