We are seeking energetic, forward-thinking professionals to join our Information Technology Center in Singapore as AI/ML Engineer Intern. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with global teams to identify and tackle the biggest opportunities and challenges at the intersection of healthcare, information and technology.

The AI/ML Engineer Intern will gain expertise in NLP and contribute to the technical development and delivery of AI products, and platforms that leverage NLP as a core capability. This role may involve working on larger systems with an NLP component. By deploying both internal and customer-facing systems that harness NLP, interns will help enhance productivity and introduce new capabilities to the organization.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Assist in the hands-on development of language models for AI systems
- Participate in all stages of model development, including ideation, experimentation, and deployment.
- Stay updated on the AI vendor landscape by proactively scanning and researching new developments.
- Engage in internal professional communities of practice to enhance AI maturity within the company

**Required Experience and Skills**
- Strong interest and foundational knowledge in Machine Learning, with a particular focus on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI.
- Familiarity with Python and scientific computing stacks, with hands-on coding experience.
- Understanding of Natural Language Processing techniques and models, including syntax, semantics, and common NLP libraries (such as NLTK, SpaCy).
- Ability to review and understand AI research publications in the field of Natural Language Processing.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to senior stakeholders clearly and succinctly.
- Knowledge of transformer-based models and experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc., would be advantageous.
- Exposure to cloud-based infrastructure and services environments for development and deployment is a plus.
- Domain knowledge in pharmaceutical business areas (e.g., research, clinical, manufacturing, commercial, corporate functions) would be highly regarded
