1. Knowledge of luxury brands: The merchandiser should have a good understanding of luxury brands, their history, and their products.

2. Fashion sense: The merchandiser should have a good sense of fashion and be able to identify trends and styles that will appeal to the shop's target market.

3. Sales and marketing skills: The merchandiser should be able to create effective marketing strategies to promote the shop's products and increase sales.

4. Negotiation skills: The merchandiser should be able to negotiate with suppliers to get the best deals on luxury items.

5. Attention to detail: The merchandiser should have a keen eye for detail and be able to identify any flaws or defects in the products.

6. Analytical skills: The merchandiser should be able to analyze sales data and customer feedback to make informed decisions about which products to stock.

7. Communication skills: The merchandiser should be able to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and other members of the team. Ability to handle and speak to Chinese clients.

8. Experience: Ideally, the merchandiser should have previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the luxury retail industry.
