Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Reporting to: Accounting Lead, SEA

**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Accounts Receivable Functions
- Provide daily update of incoming funds received from customers to Customer Service personnel
- Updating incoming funds in Customer’s Ledger
- Liaise and follow up closely with Customer Service personnel on unknown incoming funds
- Arrange for incoming cheques to be deposited to HSBC bank
- Generate AR aging reports on weekly, bi-monthly and monthly basis for the respective stakeholders
- Credit control-check on blocked customers with overdue more than 2 months
- Provide bi-monthly overview of provision for bad debts per Group’s Policy
- Review and reconcile bank transactions and post entries in ERP system
- Intercompany balances reconciliation, both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Prepare and posting of Goods-In-Transit entries in ERP system
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing of ledger systems
- Liaise with operations on accounting-related matters
- Assist in year-end external audit
- Participate in annual stock-take
- Provide financial information and support to internal customers
- Backup for Malaysia and India counterparts on finance operation matters
- Any ad hoc finance duties assigned

**Requirements**:

- LCCI or Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years working experience in a similar capacity
- Good knowledge of Goods and Services Tax
- Good Microsoft Excel skills and experience in computerised accounting system. Hands-on knowledge on Navision system is an added advantage
- Able to work independently and in a team and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate across levels
