Ict Executive

**Job Responsibilities:

- **The Services required are set out as follows:
**- Managing ICT Programmes in Schools**

The ICT Executive will work with ICT Manager to manage schoolinitiated projects and coordinate HQ project roll-outs for schools while ensuring that MOE policies, guidelines and standards are adhered to. He/she will also provide project updates to the HOD (ICT) /ICT Manager and prepare any relevant documentations and guidelines pertaining to the project.

**- Business Solutioning and ICT Planning**

The ICT Executive will work with the HOD (ICT) / ICT Manager on gathering the ICT needs of the school and propose solutions that meet the requirements of the schools including technical specifications and market pricing of these solutions.

**- ICT Resources**

The ICT Executive may assist the HOD (ICT) / ICT Manager with managing the school’s ICT assets and resources such as the replacement and condemnation of ICT equipment, and the documentation of loan records of ICT equipment.

**- Working with other ICT Staff**

The ICT Executive will work with ICT Manager to oversee and assign work to the school Desktop Engineers (DEs), as well as work with other ICT support staff in the school and also to provide technical support for device usage.

**- Teachers’ Support**

The ICT Executive will assist in the photography and video production during special school events. He/She will also advise teachers on use of ICT for creation and presentation of interdisciplinary project work. He/She may be redeployed to assist teachers during ICT lessons, supporting teachers in resource development and to conduct ICT skill based training for teachers at least once per term.

**- Other Tasks**

Other tasks for the ICT Executive may include proactively scanning the market for technology trends and new technology tools that support Teaching and Learning and, educate and update school staff. ICT Executive will support in staff training for hardware as well as software to increase staff’s competence in using ICT tools for Teaching and Learning.

**Job Qualifications:

- **The Personnel shall mínimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

- Diploma in ICT related field with 5 years of relevant ICT experience, preferably in a primary school context.
- Certification in ICT related fields in support of the work needed in a primary school context.
- Good ICT technical knowledge:
**Technical skills required**: Preferably able to execute at least one of the programming skills e.g Programming C, C++, Java, XML, Javascript, HTML.

**Database**:Preferably know and is familiar with at least 2 of the database software e.g. MS SQL Server 2005, MySQL, Oracle, MS Access, SQL Servers, Internet & Information Services (IIS)

**Software**:Preferably able to use a variety of software to support school needs like photo and video editing e.g. Flash, Authorware, Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premiere, Microsoft Suite T&L Apps: Need to be familiar with a variety of

**T&L Apps **to support teachers in the use of the apps such as Kahoot, Mentimeter, Nearpod, Classpoint, Moo-o, Wawa Reader, ActiveInspire, etc
- Strong administrative and organisational skill in maintaining loan records of equipment / ICT devices and management of assets in a fast-paced and vibrant ICT school environment.
- Competent in basic troubleshooting for hardware issues in AV and ICT equipment e.g. projectors, audio speakers, etc
- Good interpersonal, communication, planning, analytical and negotiation skills
- Able to multitask, work both independently and as a team
- Preferably has experience carrying out ICT contract, vendor and project management
- Medically fit
