**Job Summary**
- Markets Contracts (“MC”) specialises in negotiations of derivatives, REPO, and securities lending documentation (ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA) via multiple Client segments (Investment Managers, Investment Banks and Global Corporates) across the Global footprint of the Bank. The MC team operates in a highly regulated and time sensitive environment and ensures the foundational documentation, upon which the Bank can safely offer trading, across a whole variety of Markets products, is in place.- A MC negotiator is a critical role that underpins much of the Bank’s business. An ability to negotiate master trading documentation as efficiently as possible and within the Banks risk appetite is crucial. The MC team deliver work across multiple jurisdictions in support of multiple stakeholders and business segments. The work is high profile, sensitive, and often complex. The role provides a broad, holistic perspective of transaction management challenges and requirements across the organisation.**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- (i) Manage, lead and develop the Segment Cluster leads in [Region].- (ii) Responsible for delivery of the Markets team management and governance tasks such as
CoS/Productivity Model, Outsourcing Owner under SLA, people management, GPO support activities, regulatory implementation requirements, Newsletter.**Strategy**
- Lead the implementation of the Business & Client Solutions target operating model for Contracts team in the region and globally, ensuring Contracts seamlessly integrates into the overall TOM with mínimal business disruptions.
- Identify key processes for further streamlining, work on process improvements, fine-tuning of the operating and organizational models, and ensure optimum delivery of processes in accordance with globally consistent standards, controls, and levels of conduct & valued behaviours.
- Ensure alignment between onshore and offshore teams in accordance with the overall onshore-offshore client delivery model
- Reinforce synergy between countries, regions and hubs, through close communication and consistency of standards
- Spearhead the delivery of FMC change projects, improvement, remediation activities across the country / region

**Business**
- Be a business partner to and independent guardian of the business, achieving the right balance.
- Single point of contact for any Client or Business escalations.
- Utilise knowledge of business products and execution undertaken in region to work with regional / cross-regional business and functions to respond to MC process related questions.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of MC processes with other parts of the Bank.
- Work closely with MC in other regions to reduce duplicative work and ensure logical allocation of work (proposing exceptions to R&R where necessary)
- Resolve all roadblocks and any points requiring clarity, in collaborative fashion between MC centres or between Legal and MC or MC and other stakeholders in the Bank.
- Adhere to both personal and MC KPIs, ensuring that work is performed / delivered within thresholds.

**Processes**
- Outsourcing owner for the relevant SLAs of the region.
- Country Process Owner for countries in the region.
- Continuous review of all daily processes to improve the service provided and enhances controls.
- Revise and maintain templates and guides on MC SharePoint.
- Maintain accuracy and update of data entry covered by MC team.
- Adhere to control and audit requirements by following MC ORF, the User’s Guide and DOI’s.
- Manage and develop the team to operate and grow smoothly.
- Cost control and maintenance under delegation
- Support delivery on Catalogue of Service / productivity agendas within Markets Contracts.
- Communication of team updates - Newsletter.

- Ability to interpret the firm’s information relevant to the role, identify key issues based on this information and recommend appropriate controls and measures.
- Support risk control ownership under the Group’s Risk Management Framework (including relevant Operational Risk Framework ownership for MC).
- Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment in area of responsibility.
