Singapore BANK OF TAIWAN Full time

**Summary**:
The General Manager acts as the highest delegation of Bank of Taiwan (the Bank) Singapore Branch (the Branch) with the power of attorney of the Bank. The General Manager takes full responsibility for the performance of the Branch. The responsibilities of the General Manger include formulating and implementing of the Branch’s business strategies, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing risks, and coordinating business between departments. The General Manager is also responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering team collaboration to achieve the goals set up by the Head Office.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Take overall responsibility for the performance of all the Branch’s activities and the internal control obligations under MAS and the Bank’s Head Office guideline.

2. Ensure the financial stability of the Branch.

3. Ensure the Branch’s operations and activities under prudent and professional management and in compliance with the Banking Act, the Companies Act, and all rules, regulations, notices, and directives issued by MAS, and other relevant laws and regulations.

4. Ensure that the Branch’s plan to achieve business goals assigned by the Bank’s Head Office conform with its own risk appetite and financial stability.

5. Ensure all staffs understand newly enacted, modified, or amended banking policies, regulations, or procedures, and educate staffs to follow through.

6. Ensure the Branch has implemented effective internal control and risk management policies and ensure the effectiveness of these risk control activities.

7. Develop and expand the Branch’s business.

8. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Branch’s financial information and its regulatory reporting in respect of its regulated activities.

9. Escalate correspondence from MAS and other regulators to the Bank’s Head Office

**Requirements**:
1. A recognized master’s or bachelor’s degree.

2. Minimum 20 years of experience in banking industry, the experiences shall include Operations, Corporate Banking, Compliance, and Internal Auditing.

3. Minimum 15 years of supervisory experience.

4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

5. Familiar with not only Singapore laws and MAS regulations, but also FSC (Financial Supervisory Commission in Taiwan) regulations.

6. Fluent in both English and Mandarin to understand laws and banking regulations in both Taiwan and Singapore, liaison with Head Office in Taiwan, and communicate with vast majority customers and relative Banking Supervisory Authorities (i.e., MAS or FSC)
