Tunnel / Surface Supervisor

**1. Supervision and Coordination**:

- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in tunnel excavation, lining, support installation, mucking, shotcreting, etc.
- Oversee surface support activities such as material handling, ventilation setup, pumping systems, and access control.
- Coordinate daily workforce tasks and equipment allocation.
- Ensure proper shift handover reporting and communication.

**2. Safety and Compliance**:

- Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies on both tunnel and surface operations.
- Conduct and document safety meetings, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, or other applicable regulations.

**3. Quality and Production**:

- Monitor quality control of excavation, blasting, lining, or civil works.
- Track and report progress against schedule and production targets.
- Address and resolve delays or issues in coordination with engineers and contractors.

**4. Communication and Reporting**:

- Liaise with engineers, geologists, and management on technical and operational issues.
- Prepare shift reports, production logs, and incident reports.
- Communicate work plans, safety alerts, and updates to crew members.

**Requirements**:

- Able to work shift work, 12 hour shift, 6 day work week
- Able work in confined spaces, variable weather, and high-noise environments
- Supervisory experience in both underground and surface operations.
- Excel in microsoft office and excel
- Strong knowledge of tunneling methods (e.g., TBM, NATM)
- 10 years or more experience in construction core tunnelling
- Valid supervisory certification(eg BCSS, BCSS(T), etc)
