To lead and operationalise Safety, Health, Environment and Security (SHE&S) management system to improve on SHE&S awareness and attitude at site.

Your key responsibilities:

- Appointed as the Local Site SHE & Security (SHE&S) Responsible to lead the operationalisation dsm-firmenich global / regional SHE&S strategies at site
- Organise site SHE&S Committee Meeting and serve as the Secretary of the Committee
- Advise and support site management in ensuring compliance to dsm-firmenich SHE&S standards, and local laws and regulations, whichever, is higher.
- Lead and conduct Plant Tours or Inspections on SHE&S practices and behaviours, and recording any deviations.
- Follow up on required SHE&S actions with relevant departments.
- Provide SHE training as per required for all employees and contractors for safe work operations, and work environment.
- Liaise with relevant departments/contractors to ensure SHE&S related programs are correctly implemented and communicated.
- Periodically organize review and update of SHE&S risk assessments and plans.
- Upkeep of SHE&S SOP/ISO/procedures documents, records and regulatory documents for site.
- Ensure SHE&S incidents reporting in line with dsm-firmenich requirements and facilitate the investigation of SHE&S incidents.
- Prior to start up, ensure plans and specifications for new or proposed process changes, equipment or methods are reviewed for compliance with dsm-firmenich SHE&S standards, and local laws and regulations, whichever, is higher.
- Assist in vendor, customer & regulatory audits.
- Be the Site Security Coordinator.
- Be the license holder for the business entity.
- Timely monthly Environmental Sustainability reporting.

Position Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Environmental Health & Safety discipline preferred.

Position Requirements:

- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with MOM
- Preferably registered Fire Safety Manager with SCDF.
- Hands-on, results oriented with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels in the organization.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Experience dealing with governmental agencies on reporting and inspections
- Leading SHE&S Committee
