**Responsibilities**

**OVERVIEW**
The Scheduler is an essential team member of the technical operations function who will create transmission schedules for all CNBC International channels. He/she will also work closely with the CNBC International Transmission team, as well as NBCU News Group’s teams to schedule and plan on-air and promo content for our international news channels.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible to produce and deliver daily transmission schedule for CNBC channels with defined criteria.
- Maintain a good understanding of the channels overall, as well as the media plans and implementing promotional and navigational strategy.
- Plan, strategize, and input on-air content and promos of daily logs for the regions assigned and coordinate the electronic distribution of transmission logs to the Master Control Room in time for telecast.
- Work closely with Advertising Sales function and promo producers to ensure that all commercials and promos are placed in order.
- Work closely with external NBC colleagues for the scheduling and planning of international channels.
- Provide quality control and ingest of all commercial and promotional materials into the play-out server.
- Coordinate with News & Programming and Transmission teams on ad-hoc program changes.
- Coordinate and organize all on-air spots and reports which are needed.
- Post and reconcile daily run logs.
- Maintain and update database/systems to ensure smooth operational delivery of daily programming (Landmark Scheduling System, Lacuna Database System & Grass Valley Morpheus/Ice system).
- Housekeeping of inventories - ensure all outdated materials are removed from the system server periodically.

**Qualifications/Requirements**
- SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS- Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in scheduling/presentation functions, preferably in a multi-national broadcast environment.
- Ability to effectively implement channel break strategy and to deliver on audience flow and retention.
- Strategic thinker who can analyze and use ratings effectively to maximize promotional impact and audience reach
- Highly meticulous with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Prior experience working in a television transmission environment would be advantageous
- Knowledge in Landmark scheduling system and Grass Valley Morpheus/Ice system would be advantageous
- Strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
