Strategic Customer Engagements (SCE) is a specialized global deal team that drives AWS business by working with customers to create long term strategic relationships to grow their use of AWS services. The SCE Deal Team is involved in the critical phases of the deal cycle, from strategy to structuring to negotiations and commercial closure. You will be specifically responsible for working with the APJ SCE Director and Deal Team to create mechanisms and programs to meet our customers’ desired business outcomes while ensuring alignment with AWS’ business objectives. SCE is looking for a customer-obsessed Program Manager to work with the Deal Team and other internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement innovative global initiatives while continuously evaluating and improving upon those initiatives insisting on the highest standards and creating best practices for the Deal Team.
This role is based in Singapore.
Key job responsibilities
**Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Ensures the team works with the broader stakeholder community to help build process(es) that meets the aggregate needs of the business, addressing any concerns
- Help drive change within SCE and the broader Private Pricing organization, including socializing the ideas and implementing the capabilities
- Understand the business and technical requirements of our customers and partners, and work closely with the SCE Deal Team to develop and standardize processes to improve deal efficiency and velocity
- Envisions and delivers systems to measure and track metrics related to deals, identify priority items that need to be addressed and to make improvements to the approach based on analyzing the data
- Prepare and give business reviews to SCE Deal Team Leadership regarding progress and metrics
- Able to offer guidance to the team on simplifying complex deals, automating manual processes, and focusing on measurement to continually improve the performance of the function
- Deal with the dynamic and fast-moving nature of the AWS, and the cloud computing space in general, to quickly pivot the team to adjust to changing priorities
- Strong communication skills —both verbal and written--with ability to update senior management on priorities, status, data trends, as well as tooling and training recommendations for the commercial sales team
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts and the AWS offering.
