Manager - Project Management - Retail of The Future

The emergence of new key technologies such as digitization, e-mobility and autonomous driving, as well as the resulting changes in framework conditions/customer behavior such as online purchasing, shared mobility and the addition of new competitors will sustainably influence our sales business model. With these challenges, comes opportunity to automate, standardize, increase efficiency, profitability and create a sustainable business model for the future. This task is performed as part of the project Retail of the Future (RoF).

The main “Retail of the Future” project objectives are:

- Design of a future-proof MBC sales business model at wholesale and retail level for the Overseas region (Blueprint)
- Evaluation and subsequent implementation of the new sales model in key markets of the Overseas region
- Rollout and implementation of RoF in the markets, while maintaining standardization
- Further development and optimization of the new sales model in live markets

Your tasks in detail:
1. Planning, design and concept of market-specific sales business models:

- Proactive steering of the market-specific project plans in coordination with all key stakeholders (project structure and work package set-up, milestone tracking, capacities)
- Derivation of implications for the current wholesale & retail organization, margins and commission models, dealer contracts, IT landscape etc.
- Advising the markets on the involvement of special conditions/trends and requirements onsite
- Supporting markets in creating quantitative (business case) and qualitative assessment of conceptual implementation

2. Control and coordination of the RoF rollout in the prioritized markets:

- Active support for the markets in implementing the new sales business model (e.g. through consultation, on-site support)
- Planning, tracking and controlling project objectives, tasks, resources and the milestones defined for this, including status reporting and if necessary escalation
- Moderate conflicts between different stakeholders across different hierarchies and lead project group to commonly accepted solutions
- Ensure RoTF program standards during project execution in the market (standardized implementation procedure, blueprint trainings, demand management)
- Foster exchange between markets in different project phases to benefit from each other
- Recognize target deviations in the project process, pick up and initiate corrective actions
- Coordinate and steer external cooperation partners (e.g. Consultancy)

3. Moderation of meetings/workshops and presentation to management on the overall project as well as individual rollout markets.

4. Cooperation and further development of the RoF business model for the Overseas region through cross-regional knowledge transfer: Developing, adapting and evaluating methods, instruments and processes, selecting and evaluating key figures for evaluating the optimization.

You will be part of a project management team, which is partly based in Stuttgart, partly in Singapore. Next to your direct team, you will closely work with process managers and product owners as well as IT specialists in Singapore. Other stakeholders include Central Controlling, Legal, Compliance, Financial Services, Market Managers, eCommerce. In the markets you will work closely with the project team but also with the executive management. Your coordination and tracking of all activities with these stakeholders will be the prerequisite for a successful business model implementation. An extremely varied and responsible activity awaits you, which requires a high degree of initiative and flexibility.

**Qualifications:
- Degree in business administration or comparable training
- Very good knowledge of the Mercedes-Benz sales organization and the dealer network, ideally paired with MPC or GD experience
- Experience in project management and rollout incl. Business case calculation and change of system landscape
- Cross-functional understanding of the tasks and procedures in retail
- High degree of independence, initiative and assertiveness
- Entrepreneurial thinking and acting as well as strong team, communication and contact skills in an international environment
- Willingness to travel to the rollout markets
