- Conducting a series of incubation experiments of marine water under various ammonia enrichment scenarios. Measure a number of parameters at different time points of the incubation experiment.
- Collecting and the experiment data related to marine environments response under enhanced ammonia.
- Manage the purchasing and laboratory safety for the logistics related to the project.
- Writing reports and summarizing research findings in a clear and concise manner.

**Qualifications**

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor or master's degree in environmental science, engineering, earth science, oceanography, chemistry or a related field.
- Strong critical thinking skills and problem solving skill in conducting research, especially conducting aquarium experiment.
- Prior experience in conducting aquarium experiment is highly desired.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently at St Johns National Marine Laboratory and as part of a team.
- Able to start work immediately.

The following skills are advantageous:

- Prior experience with St Johns National Marine Laboratory is a plus.
- Prior training on chemical and biological safety in laboratories.
- Laboratory analytical chemistry skills. You will need to analyse a few parameters, including concentration of nutrient, chlorophyl, dissolved oxygen, etc.
- Understanding of marine biogeochemistry is advantageous.
