Risk & Regulation Executive - Asia
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Sedgwick’s market-leading Risk & Regulation team taking the lead on our Asia program. Working across the full spectrum of activities covered by the team, a curious, probing mind will be key to those considering applying. Although some knowledge of the key themes of our work is welcome, at Sedgwick, we believe that attitude is everything, and we’ll be looking for someone who can join the team, grow and learn organically (and where necessary through funded qualifications) and support the team, and the business, in meeting their objectives.
You’ll work with many internal stakeholders around the world, including senior leaders, operational colleagues, Internal Audit, Compliance and Privacy teams, on training programmes, policies & procedures and investigations. The Risk & Regulation team promotes a strong risk management culture, including compliance with regulatory obligations, whilst taking a commercial and practical approach to challenges and seeking appropriate solutions.
A varied and interesting role, a key area of responsibility involves data, including Data Right Requests (primarily DSARs), recording and managing breaches and supporting awareness of data privacy requirements within the business. You will also be involved with the team’s communication and training strategy, delivery regulatory requirements, and business continuity oversight and testing. The role further extends to include:
- Involvement in contract reviews, focusing on data protection and regulatory elements
- Conflict of interest management
- Horizon scanning and planning for new regulations across the wider international region
- Sanction checks
- Financial crime and money laundering involvement
- New vendor onboarding
- Privacy
- Recording and management of professional indemnity claims against the business.
You will have/will be:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to be detailed and interpret and analyse information and data quickly and accurately
- Conscientious, self-motivated, and hard working to achieve required results, as well as flexible and adaptable
- Clear and conceptual thinking ability
- Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Has the ability to build effective relationships
- Honest and ethical
- Very strong analytical and reporting skills.
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
