Here is what you need to know about the job:
The hands-on Data Analyst will be creating data products that help drive better business decisions / outcomes for both the internal organisation, as well as external clients. The Data Analyst will be focused on the end-to-end data product creation lifecycle (e.g. data scoping, analysis, visualisation) for scale. You will work closely with the team to ensure data products are designed, created, and consistently delivered at scale.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business questions.
- Conduct and present analyses on trends and business impact to different stakeholders including the senior leadership team.
- Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support the needs of the business.
- Build various data visualisations to tell the story of business trends, patterns, and outliers through rich visualisations.
- Interface with cross functional teams, gathering requirements and delivering complete BI solutions.
- Access, manipulate, and join disparate data sets using SQL and Amazon Redshift.
- Be able to clearly present a data product in a clear and intuitive manner.
- Train end users on data products.
- Adept at data storytelling / visualisations.

Education and Experience
- Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field.
- 1 - 2 years hands-on experience in a data analyst / similar role.

Preferred Criteria
- Passionate about data.
- Meticulous and analytically driven systems thinker.
- Strong analytical mindset with an inclination for problem solving.
- Experience using relational databases (e.g. Redshift) and SQL for querying and extracting data.
- Experience using data visualization platforms (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau) for effective data presentation.
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses.
- Experience conducting deep dive analyses of business problems; identifying root cause of business trends, formulating conclusions and recommendations.
- Good presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
- Proficient in Python / R.
- Proficient in DAX.
- Familiarity of Amazon Web Services (e.g. through work experience / certifications).
- Excellent communication skills (e.g. making complex technical explanations easy to understand).
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to converse / write in Mandarin is a plus.
