Reporting to VP, P&C Reserving Asia, the job holder shares responsibilities for all the corporate actuarial requirements for Property & Casualty business in Asia (excluding Australia). S/he is responsible for accessing and understanding P&C business data, performing required calculations for internal and external purposes and assisting other members of the team in preparing documentation to communicate the results.

In addition, the job holder will be expected to work closely with other RAM Asia colleagues based in other offices and perform tasks for other Asian branches as assigned, and vice versa.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Assist in the completion quarterly and annual valuations (statutory, US GAAP and EVM bases) on assigned portfolios, for sign off purposes (key output: quarterly reserve reports and relevant local branch reporting) and be responsible for the valuation output to be prepared for the reviewing actuary
- Assist in large transaction risk reviews and Group projects
- Assist in the annual Costing and Reserving Linkage risk review process
- Assist in the preparation of the related analyses and documentation of the quarterly reserving process including the Regional Reserving Committee (RRC) meetings
- Support Actuarial & Reserving P&C Asia team's responsibility as a key input provider for business steering via operational and experience feedback on portfolios highlighting areas for improvement
- Assist in the preparation all local statutory reserving and reporting requirements of the regulators in the Swiss Re Asia P&C branches as assigned
- Work with regulators and internal/external auditors on routine and special matters
- Work on other projects as assigned including participating in internal underwriting audits

**Position Requirements**:

- Studying towards a University degree in actuarial science or related field (mathematics, engineering or finance)
- Actuarial valuation and reporting experience
- Independent self-starter
- Dedicated in seeking out and providing information
- Actively looks to contribute and take on additional responsibility
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
