**Roles & Responsibilities**

Working location**:Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam**
- Supervise the team to provide cost advice and conduct value engineering exercise during various stages
- Review cost estimation for conducting project feasibility studies.
- Oversee budget and construction cost control of project from design development to tender and construction stage.
- Identify and source the most appropriate and competitive consultants / contractors to engage with the Company as a partner to provide the requisite services / solutions.
- Understand consultants’ / contractors’ cost structures and negotiate fairly and transparently to gain best value.
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with the key consultants / contractors to obtain cost effective pricing proposals.
- Responsible for appointment of consultants which will then lead to award of contracts to successful deserving contractors.
- Define and negotiate terms and conditions of contract, in liaison with Legal and Finance Department with focus on leading practices.
- Review and evaluate variation orders and claims submitted by contractors / consultants.
- Participate in tender process and advice on tender and contract related matters.
- Provide contractual support to the project management team in managing projects to ensure protection of Company interests and rights during the execution of capital projects.
- Provide guidance on interpretation and / or implications of contract provisions and advise departments on the company’s contractual responsibilities, as and when required.
- Conduct training and development for the team.
- Establish performance goals for all staff in the department, and monitor performance on a continual basis.
- Any such other works as assigned by Management from time to time.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience with at least 7 years of cost and contract management in large organization.
- Excellent leadership skill, people management skills with good communication and analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering and bidding process as defined bills of quantities by statutory regulations.
- Strong negotiation skills to get optimum cost advantage while dealing with contractor / consultants.
- High level of initiative and integrity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is required.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
