Head of Programmes and Research

HCLI seeks a Head of Programmes and Research to curate world-class leadership programmes and research on leadership matters in Asia. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead a team tasked to design and deliver both open and custom programmes. You will also be responsible for leading custom proposals and participating in client communications to maximise sales and/or sponsorship opportunities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Curate, design and develop world-class leadership development solutions that are high quality, competitive and sustainable
- Implement and manage custom solutions
- Deliver and facilitate training workshops, dialogues, coaching and assessments
- Integrate HCLI research content into HCLI programmes
- Contribute to and support the development of HCLI’s digital programme offerings
- Identify and manage strategic content partners and adjunct teaching faculty
- Forge and maintain external relationships, promote HCLI to external bodies and enhance HCLI’s reputation, profile and influence in Singapore and regional forums
- Ensure close links are maintained with the relevant professional, statutory, and regulatory bodies that are closely related to HCLI’s research focus areas
- Represent HCLI at local, regional and international meetings, sharing HCLI’s viewpoint.
- Oversee and manage the research programme and agenda for HCLI’s strategies and priority areas
- Lead efforts to secure corporate and non-corporate research funding and sponsorships
- Identify new topics and develop and obtain funding for proposals (including academic, private and public sector funders) supporting relevant research projects to develop HCLI’s research strengths
- Plan and execute research that generate impact for HCLI’s stakeholders

**Job Requirements**:

- A Masters degree or Post-graduate degree in Business, Organisation Development, Psychology or Social Sciences. A PhD degree would be an advantage
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in leadership development, leadership research, organisational development, learning and development or management consulting
- Experience in coaching, facilitation of business meetings, classroom training, and online training
- Deep knowledge relating to theories and current prevailing practices about corporate learning and leadership development
- Deep knowledge of leadership theories and trends (i.e. Asia centred leadership, human centred leadership; sustainability and human capital/future of work)
- Ability to develop a strategic plan for the programmes and research and to operationalise the plan
- Strong planning, coordination and project management skills
- Experience in overseeing or managing the operations of lean teams
- Possess good financial acumen and be commercially savvy, able to manage department budget, resourcing needs and negotiate with clients/vendors
- Experience in personality and leadership profiling/assessment instruments an added advantage
- Ability to orchestrate facilitators on a global level through strong network with content providers, academics, and business communities
- Experience in instructional design, facilitation/moderation and programme management
- Ability to interact with clients, stakeholders, and senior business leaders through meaningful and strategic conversations
- Agile, adaptable and flexible when reacting to client needs
- A strong team player with great collaboration skills and excellent communication (oral and written) skills
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and virtual tools
- Experience in writing research/editorial/leadership/OD/HR articles
