**ABOUT EQUAL**

Founded in 2015, EQUAL is a Singapore-based charity which focuses on transforming lives through animal-assisted services. EQUAL partners with rescued, retired or adopted animals (horses and dogs) to help bring healing and support to children, youths, families, seniors as well as persons with special needs. EQUAL’s programmes seek to empower those whom we serve by enhancing their socio-emotional well-being, self-awareness and relationship management skills through animal-assisted programmes - developing resilience and strengthening individuals and communities.

Our headquaters is in the Thomson area and we also run a programme centre in Enabling Village at Redhill. You will move between both locations to oversee EQUAL’s programmes and services.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As EQUAL’s Head of Programmes and Services, you will oversee, plan, strategise and lead the development and administration of our Programmes and Services Division. You will oversee two key departments which are headed by a manager each - the Equine Programme Department and the Canine Programme Department.

You will oversee resource management and ensure EQUAL has the right processes and best practices in place. You will conduct internal and external environment scans to identify, measure and track service impact and oversee the data collection and documentation for analysis, research, communications, and reporting purposes.

You should be attuned to the latest research and developments in the social service sector, and in the areas of human-animal interactions and interventions. You will be given the latitude to discover service gaps, and to design and innovate new programme initiatives to achieve EQUAL’s mission and objectives. You will work very closely with our animal welfare colleagues to design programmes that will continue to ensure the best care and welfare of our animal partners.

You will take the lead and follow-up with partners and organisations to conceptualise and customise suitable animal-assisted programmes for different clients and also manage all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of the programmes. You will champion a strong code of conduct among and look actively into the training and development of everyone your division.

You will report to the CEO and you will be part of EQUAL’s Leadership team looking into the strategic, sustainable and scalable growth of the organisation. You will contribute towards building a high-performing organisation, a great workplace and positive work culture for the organisation. You may also be required to work on other areas and projects as assigned by the Board and Management.

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS**

Preferred Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in programme management with leadership responsibilities, preferably in the social services sector
- Educational and professional background in social work, psychology, counselling, casework and/or equivalent work will be an advantage
- Animal-assisted intervention background and experience working with animals and people will be a strong advantage

Technical Competencies
- Strong programme management and stakeholder management skills
- Budget and Financial management experience
- Research experience will be a bonus
- Class 2 or 3 driving license
