Lonza is currently looking to hire a **Engineer, Maintenance**. Role is responsible to supervise daily routine and repair work orders as assigned. The role will perform troubleshooting of equipment breakdowns and carry out basic repairs on production equipment/ systems. Role will supervise vendors/service providers activities for routine equipment maintenance work to ensure equipment is maintained in full operational status. And supervise and train Associate Engineer on production system to improve their knowledge and capability. The role will also perform Root Cause Analysis for equipment breakdowns.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Supervise daily routine and repair work orders as assigned to enable smooth handover and minimize disruption to production schedule.
- Ensure all routine maintenance works are duly carried out as scheduled and in compliance with Engineering standards and procedures.
- Respond on-call for service breakdown and support ongoing operations.
- Analyze and interpret data to develop solutions based on engineering knowledge and field experience to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
- Perform equipment related breakdown/ failure troubleshooting/ recovery with maintenance Associate Engineer.
- Supervise vendors/service providers activities for daily routine equipment maintenance work to ensure equipment is maintained in full operational status.
- Ensure audit readiness by complying with effective standards, regulatory/statutory and cGMP requirement to prevent major compliance observation.
- Perform reviewing of executed maintenance work order in SAP to ensure all GMP documentation related to maintenance activities is completed accurately and processed to full completion.
- Communicate to Manager when encounter non-compliance issues including work delay, breakdown, missing parts etc.
- Maintain all site equipment in optimum condition in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) & EHS requirements.
- Execute continuous improvement initiative to promote asset reliability and maintenance excellent to enhance equipment/ system/ process robustness.
- Contribution to site Maintenance excellent program.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by Engineer/Manager, inclusive but not limited to the above.

**Key requirements**:

- A Diploma or Degree with relevant work experience in process equipment & maintenance in Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology, O&G industry.
- Hands-on production equipment’s/systems operations, repair and maintenance experience in Biopharma, Pharmaceutical or a relevant environment.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Preferable to have experience in performing temperature mapping of equipment’s, eg: freezer, autoclave, and etc.
- Experience in performing equipment requalification to ensure equipment is ready to use.
- Able to provide solution and troubleshooting skill during requalification of process equipment’s.
- Detailed and Quality conscious.
- Ability to follow SOPs and instructions.
- Diligent in performing operational checks.
- Able to work independently.
- Ability to lead a small group of contractors for PM.
- Willing to lead and support on maintenance continuous improvement projects.
- Good Communication skills.
- Excellent Team player.
