Singapore MUNICH MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. Full time

Reporting to the Regional Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of LH2, the purpose of this position is to support Risk Management in performing independent depth risk reviews of large or special structured solution/financial reinsurance quotations across Asia Pacific, Africa and Middle East.

You will assess structured solutions to understand the inherent risks and how they are mitigated (credit risk, treaty wording risk, lapse risk, biometric risk etc.), review compliance with Munich Re pricing/risk management standards and form an independent opinion from the first line on the risk/return profile. You will on occasion be able to help the first line overcome any material risks identified.

You will work closely with other internal stakeholders across the region and Group, understanding clients and market needs, using its expertise to develop and implement client-focused strategies and optimal solutions. This position requires extensive cooperation and collaboration with others to achieve its objectives. You will need to be adaptable, have an appreciation of the pressure to meet client timelines, be proactive, able to prioritize and consistently exercise responsibilities and ownerships in risk reviews and research work.

**Your job**
- Take the lead in performing independent risk reviews of large or special structured solution/financial reinsurance quotations.
- Maintain a knowledge of all necessary markets, insurers, regulator developments where structured solutions are, or may soon be, marketed.
- Perform ad hoc risk management deep dives into existing structured solution quotations and related monitoring process.
- Be able to contribute to Munich Re Group initiatives relating to Financial Reinsurance/Structured Solutions.
- Maintain risk management standards, controls and processes for the region.
- Promote a strong risk culture through training - both formal and on-the-job training.

**Your profile**
- Degree holder, with FFA, FIA or FSA or equivalent. CERA and/or CFA would be an added advantage.
- Significant structuring experience risk review in investment banking or private placement experience.
- More than 10 years post qualification in life (re)insurance - valuation, pricing, capital restructurings, risk management or equivalent in banking industry.
- Exposure to several markets within APAC & MEA
- Excellent analytical skills
- Able to use Bloomberg to aid pricing of transactions.
- Knowledge of Chinese would be advantageous
- Curious, adaptable and willing to perform independent research, with the ability to formulate and articulate an unpopular viewpoint where supported by the facts
- Able to exercise independent judgement but recognise and be transparent about such judgements.
- Willingness to travel when required
