**About Our Client**
Our client is an established shipping company and is the world’s largest independent feeder carrier. They operate throughout Asia, Middle East, Africa, Caribbean, Latin Americas, Mediterranean and Europe.
Operating a fleet of more than 100 vessels, they present a healthy mix of vessels operating on their services. Ranging from nominal capacity of 500 TEU to 7,000 TEUs, they are able to run both shuttle services as well as longer relay services centred around main transhipment hubs, serving all types of cargo needs.

**MANAGER, GLOBAL CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT**
**Summary**:
Responsible for management of customers’ business requirement in order to strengthen partnerships and grow business opportunities.
**Reports to**:Head of Global Customer Engagement or Senior Manager
Customers
- Global Account Manager for 2 to 3 corporate customers;
- Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with key global customers to accomplish growth by providing sustainable solutions;
- Focused on sourcing opportunities and drive development plans converting leads into sales;
- Serve as contact point for key customers and internal teams;
- Be the first to know about customers’ strategies and development plans so that we can align ourselves to their needs;
- Respectfully respond to customer enquiries and resolve complaints in an efficient/effective manner;
- Measures, tracks and analyses key account metrics;
- All round understanding of the market, the global products offer by customer and competitor; And devise a marketing strategy to better position client’s product offering to the customers;
- Ownership of revenue and contract management tender negotiations.
Processes & Systems
- Ensuring that commercial processes are reviewed regularly and updated;
- Best practices of contract administration are shared amongst regional hubs;
- Cross hubs management of structured deals and tender negotiations;
**Job Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field;
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in shipping industry;
- Experience in key account management;
- Knowledge of containerized shipping;
- Ability to manage and develop relationships independently;
- Persuasion and negotiation skills;
- Conversant in English and Mandarin - spoken and written;
- Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently;
- Independent and result oriented;
- Strategic thinker and have an inquisitive mindset;
- Team player;
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
