GroupM is seeking a Senior Executive, Media Planning to join our team. This team is dedicated to servicing the global media and data needs of one of the world’s leading technology companies. **Reporting of the role**
- This role reports to: Asst. Director Integrated Planning
**3 best things about the job**:
- Responsibly managing clients' media budgets across various tactics, including digital display, content syndication, partnership content, print, and out-of-home (OOH)
- Demonstrate expertise in good communication skills with multiple stake holders negotiating favourable rates, considering clients' goals and target audiences.
- Monitor campaigns performances in terms of vendor collaboration, efficient platforms usage & campaign goals that are align for optimal campaign goals.
- Your essential skills revolve around strong communication & media knowledge. You will be responsible for quality assurance of campaign scope of work and ensuring compliance with best practices & capable of dealing/managing with deadlines. Additionally, you’ll touch based on client scope compliance, new initiatives, and processes. Collaboration with Integrated Planning teams is crucial to meet the needs of the business and drive success.
***In this role, your goals will be**:
**3 Months**:
- Manage media across multiple campaigns, ensuring flawless execution of clients’ media strategies.
- Manage cross communication skills with clients & vendors.
- Collaborate with teams to execute campaigns and troubleshoot issues.
- Gain experience in Advertising, and client management.
- Develop familiarity with internal & external working team, together with finance processes
**6 Months**:
- Take ownership of higher-level work streams such as new partner onboarding and FTC compliance.
- Share insights and progress updates with Media clients.
- Begin collaborating with the Direct Investment team to automate and improve business processes.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking in managing cross-functional teams and complex media strategies.
**9 Months**:
- Establish yourself as a key player in media management and strategy.
- Drive innovation and improvement initiatives across the business.
- Lead execution of complex media strategies and campaigns.
- Refine expertise in media optimization, data analysis, and process automation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and external clients.
**What your day job looks like at EightBar**:
**Plan Development and Recommendation Development**
- Maintenance of tactical Media Plans
- Provide research and analysis to assist with various issues that arise in the execution of the tactical plan
- Pull research to support the development of media objectives, strategies, and tactics
- Review industry trades for new sites, innovative and creative ad units and technologies, as well as competitive information
- Create and maintain flowcharts, update and maintain archives
- Take responsibility for partner relationship management
- Finalize RFP lists and work with the integrated Planning team to review all proposals.
- Ensure credit management and understanding and communication of IBM processes and guidelines.
**Implementation and Optimization of Campaigns**
- Stay updated on communications with the planning team, including buy authorizations, tracking reports, buy changes, creative specifications, etc.
- Manage and steward campaigns, including pacing.
- Collaborate with the Analytics/Research team on reporting and analysis.
- Generate optimization recommendations in partnership with Analytics/Research and planning teams.
- Implementing tracking tags and delivering ad assets to ensure accurate data collection and effective ad placement.
**Finance Management**
- Ensure accurate and timely approval of vendor invoices and reconciliation with Finance teams.
- Manage client financials, ensuring all process is up to date and budgets are actualized.
**System and Tools**:
- Maintain a strong familiarity, if not outright expertise, with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and macros
- Solid knowledge of advertising marketing tools, popular programmatic trading desks, tracking and tagging methods, and various analytic packages
**Minimum qualifications**:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in Digital Paid Media
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications related discipline.
