The SLS Laboratory Manager is responsible for managing the Micro-E SLS laboratory to enable the business unit to achieve new product development and technology innovation. You will oversee a laboratory with advanced analytical test equipment, improve operational efficiencies and expand test capabilities to match future technological needs.

This position is part of the Micro-E Scientific and Laboratory Department and will be located in Tuas Benoi, Singapore - Onsite. We envision a future where our innovation connects, empowers and emboldens humanity to be its best.

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:
Oversee the operation of a state-of-the-art analytical lab that measures trace (ppb/ppt) level of contaminants in filters; this includes ensuring data accuracy of the laboratory output, equipment performance expectations (calibration, trouble-shooting of equipment failures)

Manage laboratory scientists including their career development, setting goals, and associate engagement

Manage priorities by assigning work based on needs to meet time-based deliverables

Enhance laboratory capacity and operational efficiency by continuous improvement initiatives

Adopt and maintain Laboratory's Healthy, Safety and Environment (HSE) regulations

**The essential requirements of the job include**:
Masters Degree in Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic, Analytical), Material Science or other relevant disciplines related to chemical analysis). PhD degree is preferred

Minimum 5 years of work experience in laboratory environment involved in trace analysis

Minimum 2 years of people management skills

Working knowledge of analytical methods such as ICPMS, GCMS or particle counters

Experience in cleanroom (ISO 2) laboratory operation including HSE

Experience in laboratory management including material stocking, manpower allocation

**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in**:
Semiconductor industry in a role that involves trace contaminants analysis

Operation of liquid particle counters (sub-um), and analytical equip such as ICPMS, GCMS and other related spectroscopic methods

Led or participated in Kaizen events for continuous improvement
