**1. Quantity Surveying (QS) Responsibilities**:

- **Cost Estimation and Budgeting**:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for M&E installations, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Monitor and control budgets throughout the project.
- **Bill of Quantities (BOQ) Preparation**:
Develop and prepare BOQs for M&E works based on project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
- **Tendering and Procurement**:
Assist in the preparation of tenders for contractors and suppliers, ensuring all materials, labor, and equipment are correctly priced and specified.
- **Contract Administration**:
Monitor contract compliance, manage changes in scope, and evaluate the cost implications of variations to the original contract.
- **Cost Control**:
Track costs and work to ensure projects stay within budget. This includes identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- **Progress Reporting**:
Monitor the progress of M&E works and prepare regular progress reports related to cost, procurement, and schedule.
- **Final Account Preparation**:
Ensure that all claims, variations, and final accounts for M&E works are documented and accurately processed.

**2. Drafting Responsibilities**:

- **Drafting M&E Designs**:
Prepare detailed mechanical and electrical drawings, including HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems, electrical systems, lighting, power distribution, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
- **Coordination and Clash Detection**:
Ensure M&E systems are properly coordinated with other disciplines (architectural, structural, etc.) and resolve any design clashes or conflicts through drafting adjustments.
- **As-Built Drawings**:
Prepare as-built drawings that reflect any changes made during construction to ensure accuracy for future maintenance and repairs.
- **Updating Drawings**:
Continuously update the drawings as per site modifications, approvals, or other changes to ensure the drawings reflect the latest design version.

**3. Collaborative Role**:

- **Communication with Stakeholders**:
Communicate with architects, engineers, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the M&E designs are accurately implemented.

**Skills and Tools**:

- **Proficiency in CAD Software**: AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting/design software.
- **Knowledge of M&E Systems**: Familiarity with MEP systems, industry standards, and codes of practice.
- **Strong Analytical and Numerical Skills**: Essential for cost estimation, budget tracking, and quantity surveying.
- **Attention to Detail**: For both accurate cost estimation and precise drafting.
- **Strong Communication Skills**: To work effectively with the project team, contractors, and suppliers.
- **Site Visits and Inspections**:
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, ensure quality control, and resolve any issues related to M&E systems installation.
- **Liaising with Contractors and Suppliers**:
Act as a point of contact for M&E contractors and suppliers, helping to ensure that the correct materials and equipment are procured and delivered on time.

Pay: $2,800.00 - $3,800.00 per month
