[What the role is]

The Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) is the training arm of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. It drives capability development for the Singapore air hub and capacity building for the international aviation community. To ensure SAA’s continued relevance and to establish it as a centre of excellence for aviation knowledge, the SAA is undergoing a transformation of andragogy and learning spaces.

Reporting to the Director, you will manage SAA’s training programmes, and lead, plan and coordinate strategic events targeted at international government and industry leaders, to profile SAA as a leading aviation academy and CAAS as a thought leader in civil aviation. This includes events such as the Asia-Pacific Summit for Aviation Safety and CAAS’ participation in the Singapore Airshow.

[What you will be working on]

The role involves interfacing with international trainees during courses, conceptualisation of events and experiences based on the organisation's strategic goals, hospitality packages and travel arrangements for high level participants, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of the event within the budget, and post event review to assess if the objectives have been met and to identify areas of improvements.

You would also work closely with Corporate Communications to generate publicity and media coverage for the event, promote and drive registration for events, as well as the development of conference proceedings as required.

[What we are looking for]
- At least 2 years of working experience in planning and organising large scale and international events; familiar with digital platforms
- Customer-oriented mindset
- Keen attention to detail and ability to manage high-level guests
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with partners
- Able to work under pressure
- Familiarity with government procurement would be an advantage
