[What the role is]

DEPUTY/ ASSISTANT MANAGER, OPERATIONS PLANNING

[What you will be working on]

You will be part of the Point-to-Point (P2P) Transport division overseeing the Taxi and Private Hire Car (PHC) sector. The P2P sector complements our Public Transport through the provision of a safe and reliable means of point-to-point service, and supports our car-lite vision by reducing the need for car ownership.

You will be involved in policy reviews related to the taxi, PHC and carsharing sector. In particular, you are expected to keep abreast of developments in the carsharing industry and focus on how we can expand it, while still protecting commuters’ and drivers’ safety and interest. You will also be conducting industry scans of the P2P industries locally and abroad, and developing think-pieces to discuss with management. In addition, you will be involved in sharing best practices and building network with local stakeholders, other government agencies and overseas P2P regulators. Thus, beyond writing policy and position papers, ground situational awareness and stakeholder management skills will be key in succeeding in this role.

[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary qualification in any discipline
- At least 2 years of working experience in policy and/or regulation preferred
- Strong writing, presentation and analytical skills required
- Meticulous, independent, resourceful, self-motivated and a good team player who is able to work under tight deadlines
