Trade Operations Lead

Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Trade Operations Lead - APAC and India (New Consumer Health Company). This position will be in Science Park Drive (Ascent), Singapore.

This position is directly responsible for leading Trade Compliance operations in India inclusive of customs clearance, Customs Broker and related 3PL partnerships/performance management and ongoing execution of improvement initiatives within India.

This position is also responsible for developing and steering the roadmap for excellence in Trade compliance operations and processes for the APAC region (as an important enabler of the Consumer Health growth strategies).

**Core responsibilities include**:
Strategy

India Specific
- Direct accountability for developing and directing the priorities and roadmap for Trade Compliance operations in India, aligned to business strategy
- Supports and provides input to the inbound distribution plans for India’s New Product Introduction plans (as they relate to imports)
- Represents the company with local government agencies regarding compliance policies
- Engage with internal partners such as Logistics Procurement, Regional Trade Compliance, Government Affairs, Finance to manage profit

Regional
- Accountable for steering the overall strategic roadmap for APAC Trade Compliance operations and import/export process optimisation - through engagement with each market cluster and alignment to overall APAC regional business strategy
- Engages with Global colleagues in the development of a strategic roadmap to optimise profitability (including FTA leveraging), efficiency, partner selection and leverage technology/digitalisation
- Engage with internal partners to ensure compliance and optimize agility and profitability particularly : Supply Chain franchise teams, logistics teams, Global Trade Compliance, Government Affairs and Finance
- Ensures effective integration of global trade compliance processes/standards in APAC

Operational Excellence

India Specific
- Accountability for import/export transportation daily operations for India and the respective Trade Compliance daily operations - ensuring compliance, cost optimization and supporting execution of business projects such as NPD
- Drive process excellence to have seamless inbound import operations from sourcing site to India DC.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure business continuity
- Ensures compliance with India import/export regulations and policies
- Collaborates across Supply Chain functions to optimize on-time performance, inventory levels and cost

Regional Responsibilities
- Acts as escalation point for operational issues at regional/market level and liaises with Global Team as needed
- Develop best practices across APAC in import/export transportation daily operations inclusive of partner selection/performance management, supporting Trade Compliance within each market cluster
- Orchestrates regional Trade Compliance community to leverage/scale best practice
- Identify opportunities to introduce automation/digitalization to improve process and service outcomes
- Supports and provides relevant TC input to the regional franchise Supply Chain teams in their portfolio/NPD plans

India : 3PL/4PL engagement and performance management
- Define the right partner with Logistics Procurement team and manage contractual KPIs.
- Ensure all the activities conform to the regulations and QMS
- Direct the performance management of transportation and customs broker partner
