Cialfo is seeking looking for an enthusiastic, creative and tech minded Product Marketing professional to join our team, reporting to the VP of Marketing. As the **Director of Product Marketing**, you will lead and grow Cialfo's product marketing team. The product marketing team is responsible for crafting and executing go-to-market strategies for our product portfolio, as well as developing personas, market insights, positioning, messaging and content that brings Cialfo to life. As a leader within the product marketing organization, you will play a key role in defining and articulating strategies to achieve pipeline and win rate targets, and helping to grow a profitable business in the future.
What you will be doing:
- Lead and grow our team of product marketers.
- Oversee the creation of great storytelling, differentiated product positioning and messaging, and audience-centric content. Ensure source documents such as messaging frameworks are available for teams, and partners across the organization to drive adoption and consistency.
- Engage with our clients and bring market intelligence to the Product team, helping to evolve our platform and shape the needs of the future functionality.
- Lead team in gathering insights, crafting personas, and conducting segmentation, targeting, and market sizing. Partner to build business cases for expanding market presence or entering new markets. Build go-to-market plans to support and grow our business.
- Partner with leaders across the business (e.g., sales, product, marketing, and customer experience) to design an aligned set of strategies, tactics, and resources that achieve company objectives.
- Develop strategies to drive pipeline growth and retention.
- Oversee launch planning for new offerings — including partnering with key stakeholders on an enterprise-wide process and template and collaborating with marketing to align to campaigns.
- Formalize measurement tools and processes.
- Contribute to the ongoing creation of the Product Roadmap by understanding market trends, competitors, client demands, product adoption rates, revenue goals and more.
- Work with Product Managers on offerings already in-market, to increase usage, ensure best practices, and ensure customer problems are solved
- Market intelligence - be the expert on your audiences, how they engage with the product and their criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to out-compete them
- Leverage analytics, customer insights, research, and segmentation to develop optimal targeting strategy
- Conducts win/ loss analysis, competitive analysis, and market analysis to gain a deep understanding of customers' pain points and needs, decision-making process, and reasons for churn.
- Use customer insights from a range of data sources, such as NPS, data analytics, external research, competition study etc. to advise design for new products and product features.
**Requirements**:
- Has experience running a product marketing team, identifying the capabilities required to build a team that can deliver on company objectives
- 8-10 years of experience owning Product Marketing, with a proven track record of success translating complex technical frameworks into compelling language that is persuasive and easy to understand
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, customer experience and product management teams
- Must have experience advising senior leaders on the direction of a product based on product marketing insight and data
- Must have strong presentation skills and be highly comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels (clients, executives, technical team members, etc.)
- Hands-on experience using CRM/marketing automation tools (e.g., Clevertap, MoEngage, WebEngage, etc.)
- EdTech experience would be a big plus, especially understanding and working knowledge of higher-ed industry, its drivers and product use cases.
