Our facility in Singapore has key functions in research and development, procurement, sales and finance for our Lighting and Detection business lines, in addition to key functions related to our Optics Manufacturing capabilities.

We are presently seeking an Test Engineer that will support the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of custom test equipment deployed in ESG Optics.

Main responsibilities:

- Design and develop optical metrology test equipment to perform verification tests in accordance to requirements specifications. This includes coordination fabrication of test equipment frame and components, mechanical assembly builds, electrical layout, motion control components, and integration of light sources, optical components/assembles and detectors/cameras. Design and perform qualification to the Test set up intended for the FAT Build.
- Support installation, maintenance and repair of custom factory test equipment used in complex projects. This test equipment may come from other sites such as QPKG and this role will require good familiarity with the procedures for such tasks transferred from the particular site.
- Lead all aspects of IQ, OQ and PQ for transfer and installation of new factory test equipment that are customized for complex projects. Provide support to collect and analyze initial test data, summarize results, and verify/validate test results for accuracy and precision.
- Perform maintenance of test equipment in accordance to established manuals, procedures, and work instructions as well as yearly calibration.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of test equipment which have malfunctions or errors by checking symptoms of faults and doing root-cause analysis in accordance to trouble-shooting instructions and repair work instructions.
- Ensure proper test equipment documentation (maintenance manuals, trouble-shooting instructions, and repair work instructions).
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Engineering or related technical field. Diploma holders with extensive work experience will be considered as well.
- Minimum two years of work experience in design and development of test tools.
- Good knowledge of general electrical layout and installation.
- Good ability to design basic electrical schematics and generate single-line diagrams.
- Good knowledge of programming using LabVIEW and interfacing it with different types of HW-components (e.g., cameras, motors etc.).
- Experience with standard design patterns in LabVIEW (e.g., state machine, queued-message-handler, etc.) as well as experience with one other programming language.
- Good knowledge of motion control and photonic test equipment (including light sources and detectors) and standard test tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and data loggers.
- Basic knowledge of general mechanical layout and installation.
- Analytical ability to trouble-shoot problems, perform root cause analysis and generate solutions.
- Capability to design simple test tooling and set-up required.
- Proficient in data collection, statistical analysis and report generation required and use of six sigma principles to solve problems preferred.
- Demonstrate leadership, be a team player and great collaboration skills.
- Able to work independently and under timelines to meet project objectives and goals.
- Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
