**Description**

You are a Maker and the face of our public makerspaces. These learning environments can be found in schools, libraries and other educational facilities.

As a Maker Coach, your projects are your passion and you delight in the possibility of sharing that passion with others. You are patient with new learners and provide the time and space for them to exercise their Maker muscles and develop the same unique skills that you have mastered from your many experiments and mistakes. You enable discovery through your actions and have a smile on your face through the process. Seeing others make things bring you joy.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide exemplary customer service and facilitate a safe and comfortable making atmosphere in the public makerspace.
- Conduct and/or facilitate programmes and activities both on-site and off-site, and to engage well with participants during these interactions.
- Contribute in content creation and delivery of said content in an on-site and online environment
- Display skill and care whilst conducting technical physical and digital making workshop content.
- Provide one-to-one guidance and on-site tech support of tools and equipment for the users of the makerspace.
- Support the Centre Managers in ensuring that the makerspace is clean, comfortable and accommodating for all programmes and audiences.
- Support the Centre Managers in opening and closing the makerspace in accordance with established procedures and in ensuring that health and safety guidelines are adhered to within the makerspace.
- Support the Centre Managers in ensuring that all tools and equipment are well-maintained and are in deployable conditions, and in maintaining an updated inventory of small parts and materials.
- Provide recommendation for new programmes and activities based on user feedback to Centre Managers, and to collaborate with other tinkermind team members to develop and test these programme ideas at the makerspace.

This is a freelance position that may require travel to multiple locations and may also require deployment on evening and weekend hours.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Good customer service orientation and the ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
- Strong knowledge of at least one traditional or digital fabrication technology, including but not limited to 3D printing, laser cutting, sewing, educational robotics kits and micro: bit.
- Good ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel.
- Good working ethics and ability to treat documents with confidentiality.
- Good ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting and provide leadership within a team setting when required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
